About Me & My Approach

Putting your horse’s comfort, movement, and wellbeing first, always.

I’ve been obsessed with horses for as long as I can remember, starting with my very first ride on a Shetland pony on the beach at just three years old.

Years later, after struggling time and time again to find reliable, professional support for my own mare, I decided to take matters into my own hands and train in equine bodywork. After extensive research, I chose to study with Wolds Equine Rehabilitation and Training, completing a Level 4 qualification in Professional Equine Sports and Rehabilitation Massage Therapy.

That decision changed everything.

What began as a way to support my own horse quickly grew into something more. I realised how many other owners were facing the same challenges, and in 2019, Flying Hooves was born.

Since then, Flying Hooves has continued to grow and evolve, bringing together a range of therapies to support the whole horse. The addition of Reiki introduced a deeper, more holistic element, allowing me to work not just with the physical body, but with the horse as a whole.

Over time, it became increasingly clear that many physical issues are closely linked to what’s happening in the head and mouth. This led me to train in independent bit and bridle fitting with Gill Batt of Horse Bit Advice, enabling me to offer completely impartial, horse-first guidance without being tied to any one brand.

As my work developed, it felt important to align with a brand I could genuinely trust and recommend. I’m now proud to be the Lincolnshire fitter for Henry James Saddlery, whose beautifully crafted bridles and “build your own” approach fit perfectly with my ethos of putting the horse first.

Today, Flying Hooves continues to grow and adapt through ongoing professional development and further training, all with one goal in mind - to help your horse feel comfortable, move freely, and stay happy in their work.

If you’d like to chat about your horse or discuss how I can help, I’d love to hear from you.
